Ceiling Fan Installation in Onyx, CA
Whether you are replacing a dated light fixture with a fan, adding a fan to a room with no ceiling wiring, or fixing a fan that wobbles and hums, our Onyx electricians handle it neatly and safely.
Ceiling Fan Installation services we provide in Onyx
- New ceiling fan installation in any room
- Fan-rated box and brace installation
- Replacing light fixtures with fan and light combos
- Outdoor and patio fan installation

- Fan and light switch, dimmer and remote wiring

When a room in your Onyx home has an existing fixture, a fan installation usually takes about an hour. If there is no wiring, we run a new switched circuit from the nearest source and install a braced fan box that can handle the weight and motion. We then assemble, balance and test the fan and set up wall controls or remotes.
Homeowners in Onyx and nearby Weldon, Kernville and Wofford Heights choose us because our flat rates cover the whole job, not just the mounting. Bring your own fan or ask us for a recommendation that fits the room size and ceiling height.
Ceiling fan tips for Onyx homes
- Rooms over 12 feet wide need a 52 inch or larger fan
- Fans must be mounted on a box rated for fans, not lights
- Covered patios need damp-rated fans; open patios need wet-rated
- A wobbling fan usually means a bad box, not a bad fan
- Reversible fans push warm air down in winter
