Knob & Tube and Aluminum Wiring Replacement in Willits, CA
Knob and tube wiring was state of the art a century ago, and aluminum branch wiring was a cost-saving shortcut in the 1960s and 70s. Both are common in older Willits neighborhoods, and both create real fire risk as connections loosen and insulation crumbles. Unique Electrical Services replaces knob and tube and aluminum wiring in Willits, CA with grounded copper.

Aluminum wiring does not always require full replacement. In many Willits homes, correctly installed connectors at every device and junction bring the system to a safe condition at lower cost. We explain both routes honestly. Homeowners in Redwood Valley, Potter Valley and Comptche and across Mendocino County have relied on that straight advice.
Look for these signs in older Willits homes
- Ceramic knobs or tubes visible in the attic or basement
- Wire stamped AL or ALUMINUM on the jacket
- Warm cover plates or a plastic smell at outlets
- Flickering lights that no bulb change fixes
- Two-prong outlets throughout the house
